Hong Kong's escalators are a famously unique solution to a very real problem… moving people efficiently up and down the very steep streets between Central and Mid Levels. A whole subculture of shops and restaurants has started up around these escalators, still to this day the Longest Outdoor Covered Escalators according to Guiness Book!
