Carollas Deli

On the SE corner of Vance Ave. and Grand Central (Rt 35 North) in Lavallette. Lavallette for years was known for its Italian population, and there were several delis within a couple blocks of each other. When this photo was taken, it appears that Carollas has already gone out of business. This building would later become Mr. Dees deli. Ultimately, however, the sands of time would demolish this building… there are now condos on the site. Kodak 5062PX black and white film developed in the basement.
