Sitting home on my bookshelf is "The Spider Of Brooklyn Heights" by Nancy Veglahn. My grandfather gave me that book many years ago, and I was always fascinated by the construction of this bridge. Staring up at the cables, it is hard to imagine that a spider did not weave the perfectly symmetrical web, almost as if the bridge itself awaits some giant insect to get tangled up in it.
